3496337 - Able to create material with a material number not in the defined external number range

It is possible to create a material via t-code MM01 with a material number falling outside of the external number range defined in t-code MMNR. This is only happening when the created material number includes at least one alphabet and not only numbers. 

If the external number range is defined with numbers only and the material is being created with a number within the external number range, then error message no. M3565 (With this material type, ext. material no. must not contain only numbers) occurs.
