3496941 - Parent member is also getting exported after selecting Fact Data export while exporting export model as a File in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).

Symptom

Choose export model as file with fact data only.
The exported csv contains the parent node also.

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud version: 2.0
Datasource: File system.

Reproducing the Issue

Log in to SAC.
Switch to data management.
Scroll down to Exports Jobs
Click on export button.
Click on Export Model As File-> Create New Schedule.
In Export Details- click on Select Folder.
Select Private click on Ok
Select Fact Data only in Data to be exported.
Click on Select Data
Filter Scenario.
Filter date to a year
Reduce the measure to two then export it.
Download the exported file.
Search for the child leaf.

Notice that the child node is present.

Also notice the parent node is also exported.

Cause

Data was associated with the parent node. If inputting data in a story and using a hierarchy for the dimension, the data is distributed to the leaf nodes. When using a Flat Representation, it is not distributed to leaf nodes.

Resolution

If you want delete the data, booked directly on the hierarchy node, you can do the following:

Open model -> Delete Facts -> Select Dimension in Flat Representation and delete the data for node.
Open model in Story with Table Grid -> Add Dimension in Flat Representation to drill and delete the data for the cell -> Publish
