Symptom
You have created a Point of Sales Transaction, but the Sales Transaction is inconsistent and when you perform a check, the system displays the error "Sales Item ABC: Logistics area XYZ not inventory managed".
- ABC represent the Sales Item ID.
- XYZ represents the Logistics Area ID.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Customer Invoicing Work Center.
- Go to the Point-of Sales Transactions.
- Select the Sales Transactions sub view.
- Filter for all Sales Transactions.
- Search for the relevant Sales Transaction.
- Select Check button.
- The system displays the following error message is displayed:
- Sales Item *: Logistics area * not inventory managed.
Cause
Error message is correct.
- Navigate to the Supply Chain Design Master Data work center.
- Go to the Locations view.
- Find and select the relevant Location ID.
- Click Edit Layout.
- Expand the Location.
- Select the relevant Logistics Area.
- You can see the Inventory-Managed flag is not set for the Logistics Area.
- This means the Logistics Area is indeed not inventory managed. The error message is therefore justified and correct.
Resolution
Ensure to activate the Inventory-Managed flag for the relevant Logistics Area.
