3497148 - Required survey discrepancy in Legacy Homepage and New Learning Experience

Some required surveys are present in legacy homepage but not are not found in New Learning Experience homepage.

1. Go to My Learning >
2. In the Legacy Homepage, note some surveys are required (associated item already removed from learning plan) >
3. Turn on the New Learning Experience >
4. Notice that surveys are not found in any section >
5. Some items with required surveys displayed with an option to continue survey as below:
   
   

This scenario can happen for 2 main reasons:

1. The related item is not assigned to the user - Required survey is supported in new homepage but will only appear as an option along with its associated item.
   If completion of an item was recorded manually by an admin without the item being assigned to the user, the survey will not be displayed to the user in new learning home page.
2. Multiple assignments of the same item. You can run User Learning Plan Audit report to verify the details.

When an item is assigned for multiple times, it will only appear once in the user homepage.

When a user completes the item, surveys will be triggered for each assignment. Completion of any one of the surveys will add all item assignments to history and the item will be removed from the learning plan.

Remaining surveys will still appear in legacy homepage. However, since its item is already removed, survey will not appear in new homepage.

Note:

• Optional surveys are supported in new homepage as of 1H 2025 and they will appear under the Requests for me section.
• Required survey is supported in new homepage but will only appear as an option along with its associated item.
• One program is represented with one card and the survey status does not appear on that program card in the ILX. Engineering team explained that the system doesn't separate the items within programs into individual cards in the assignment sections.

• To ensure survey is displayed on new learning home page, there must be a related item assignment for the user.
• If manually recording completion for a user, the related item must first be assigned to the user.
• This is working as expected as per current design. This discrepancy does not affect the user's learning history.
• The Enhancement request: 345285 - visibility of required/optional survey in Homepage of New Learning Experience has been submitted to improve the functionality of the surveys in the New Learning Experience.
