Restriction type "KAPPL_PRCG_SOT_PRCG_ACC (Access to Price Elements)" will be added to the "Import Sales Orders" app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408. If role-based access to price elements in sales orders is activated in the system but this restriction type is not properly maintained in relevant business roles, users assigned with these roles may encounter authorization issues when using the "Import Sales Orders" app in the upcoming release.

If role-based access to price elements in sales orders is activated in the system, manual actions are required during SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408 to avoid authorization issues in upcoming releases after SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408.

• In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408, restriction type "KAPPL_PRCG_SOT_PRCG_ACC" will be added to the business catalog "SAP_SD_BC_SO_IMPORT_PC". Please check all affected business roles and adapt restriction type settings (if necessary) during SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408.
• The adaptation will take effect in the "Import Sales Orders" app in the upcoming release.

Below are steps about how to find out affected business roles and adapt restriction type settings (if necessary) during SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2408:

1. Open the "Manage Business Role changes After Upgrade" app.
2. Select the "Affected Business Roles" tab and specify below filters to find out all roles to be checked:
   Affected Object ID: SAP_SD_BC_SO_IMPORT_PC; Changed Object Type: Restriction Type; Changed Object Name: Access to Price Elements.
3. Click into one of the roles to navigate into details.
4. Check whether the existing restriction type settings satisfy the authorization needs. If yes, keep the settings. Otherwise, adapt the settings and save the changes.
5. Repeat the preceding steps for all the other affected roles.
