3497386 - Choosing of SAP Solution Manager Solution in the Synchronisation Project is not possible

The connection with the Solution Manager server was configured at the BTP. The respective System was configured in the synchronization project subaccount. When trying to setup a new synchronization project, it is possible to choose the system in the dropdown of the filed 'SAP Solution Manager 7.2' but then the filed 'SAP Solution Manager Solution' shows only 'processing bubbles'. Any further action is not possible.

The issue is probably that the BPM connector does not get an answer from the Solution Manager instance within 60 seconds, and therefore the request ends with timeout. This can have the reason in used network security technique for restricting hosts from accessing untrusted services on the Internet as:

• DNS allow lists implemented on the SAP Cloud Connector host to restrict the internet services it can reach
• A local host file populated with the fully qualified hostnames and IP addresses of the services to access
• Firewall rules to restrict the services - either by DNS name, DNS Pattern or IP addresses lists that prevent a host from accessing new services without additional rule(s) to be created to allow communication

Please configure the correct hostname for the cloud connector in the component, which is limiting access to internet resources:

• for AWS Frankfurt (EU10): cp.c0254ca.kyma.ondemand.com 
• for AWS US East Virginia (US10): cp.b92b8c0.kyma.ondemand.com 

Please note that it is important to use the host names instead of the corresponding IP addresses, as the IP addresses are not static. Using the IP addresses will be a temporary quick fix only.
