Comments field is not saved when cancelling approved time off request.

1 Create time off request for one test user

2. Approved time off request

3. Login as this user and try to cancel this time off request with inputs in comments field or custom string field

4. Cancel time off workflow triggered as expected but the inputs are not saved in workflow details UI but only comments displayed in workflow activity section

This is a know product gap.

Currently this is a known system gap.

When we are cancelling approved time off request, the UI comments or custom string fields value are not saved in Employment Time object, but only comments would be displayed in workflow activity.

Workaround

1: Please check the comments from workflow activity for comments field

2: Later subject user can add comments after raising cancellation request.

We have a plan to add a pop-up window for new comments field so user can insert comments when cancelling this time off request, but it is not yet determined.
