3497762 - Error Message: 'Account Determination Missing for Item Type Tax Payables: Withholding Tax' while Releasing the Withholding Tax Return

When trying to release Withholding Tax Return but the system gives the below error message:

Account determination is missing for item type Tax Payables: Withholding Tax. Specify account determination in chart of accounts DEF and account determination profile . Column Path Tax->Tax Payments->Withholding Tax Payable, Item Type Tax Payables: Withholding Tax.

(Here DEF is Account Determination Profile)

The reason is that you have not maintained the G/L account for Withholding Tax Payable to the respective Account Determination Profile DEF.

You need to maintain G/L account for Withholding Tax Payable to the respective Account Determination Profile by following below steps:

1. Go to the Business Configuration work center.
2. Go to the Implementation Projects view.
3. Select the project and open activity list.
4. Open the activity Charts of Accounts, Financial Reporting Structures, Account Determination.
5. Click on View button.
6. Under Account Determination section select Tax.
7. Select your Account Determination Profile DEF.
8. Go to the Tax Payments tab.
9. Click on Add Row button.
10. Maintain the G/L accounts for Withholding Tax Payable.
11. Click on Save and Close.

Now, you will be able to release the Withholding Tax Returns.
