Symptom
After deleting the settings for fields "Posting Category" and "Transfer Mode" from the App Define Bank Account Settings - Bank Statement. The settings are still displayed.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Go to App Define Bank Account Settings - Bank Statements.
- Search for your bank account.
- Press edit button.
- Remove the filed values "Posting Category" and Transfer Mode".
- Save.
- The deleted/removed values are again displayed.
Cause
An empty value has a specific meaning, removing or deleting it means using the default logic for the bank statement and cash management integration. This is why we intentionally make the empty value meaningful.
Resolution
1. For End-of-Day Bank Statement: -
- Posting Category: Empty = ‘Posting to Be Processed’.
- Transfer Mode: Empty = ‘Balance and Bank Statement Items (Optimized)’.
2. For Intraday Bank Statements: -
- Posting Category: Empty = ’No Posting Processing’.
- Transfer Mode: Empty = ‘Bank Statement Items Only’.
3. Bank Statement File Forwarding: Empty = ’No Forwarding’.
Note: - If the entire entry is deleted, the validity period of the deleted entry will be merged into the previous one.
