3497903 - Depreciation run fails with error F5903

Symptom

While executing depreciation run error message: "F5903 - Posting period &1 &2 not open for variant &4 and ledger &3" is raised.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enter Schedule Asset accounting jobs
  2. Create Depreciation run
  3. Click Check or Schedule

Cause

The period to which accounting postings need to be made is closed.

Resolution

Open posting period in the app Manage Posting Periods to allow posting.
