3498113 - Profile Photo takes time to update in org chart - Employee Profile

When user updates photo in Employee Profile, sometimes the effect of the change will take take in Org Chart.

SuccessFactors Employee Profile

1. Go to Employee Profile and update user photo

2. Go to Org chart and access the same user and photo will reflect properly

3. Go back to Employee Profile. Either delete or update the user photo

4. Go back to Org Chart and change did not take effect. You will still see the previous user photo

5. If user wait for some time, the photo in Org Chart will match the user photo in Employee Profile

When a user visits the org chart search page for the first time after a profile photo uploaded for the first time, the browser gets the photo from web server and stores to local cache.  For subsequent requests, the cached photo is found and the browser will use the local copy of the photo until cached files is expired.

Solution 1: Enable "Disable Browser Photo Caching".

Solution 2: Disable browser cache in Google Chrome 

1. Open Chrome Web Store:
2. • Go to the Chrome Web Store.
3. Search for Cache Extensions:
4. • Search for extensions like "Disable Cache" or "Cache Killer".
5. Install an Extension:
6. • Select an extension such as "Disable Cache" or "Cache Killer".
   • Click Add to Chrome to install the extension.
   • Follow the on-screen instructions to enable and configure the extension.
