Symptom
When running the checks for the Job Description Manager application in Admin Center > Check Tool, issue(s) for the check "InactiveJobClassificationsMappedToRoles" are found.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Job Description Manager
Cause
Inactive job classifications are mapped to roles
Resolution
The inactive job classifications will need to be removed from the roles by following one of the below options.
Make the Job Classification Active Using Manage Data
- Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Data
- In the Include Inactive Records dropdown, select Yes
- In the first Search, select Job Classification
- In the second Search, enter a Job Code from the Check Tool
- Select Take Action > Make Correction
- In the Status field, select Active
- Select Save
Make the Job Classification Active Using Import
- Follow the steps in Implementing the Metadata Framework (MDF) - Exporting Object Definitions for the Job Classification entity
NOTE: Ensure to select Yes for the Include Inactive Records field - Select the entire worksheet and search for the effectiveStatus column
NOTE: The column placement will differ based on the number of languages configured in your system - (Optional) Hide the columns in between Column C and the effectiveStatus column to simplify the next steps
- Filter the effectiveStatus column for the I (Inactive) status
- In Column C (externalCode), filter for a Job Code from the Check Tool
- In the effectiveStatus column for the filtered Job Code, change the status to A (active)
- Repeat steps 5 & 6 for each item in the Check Tool
- Once completed, save the file
- Navigate to Admin Center > Import and Export Data
- In the Select the action to perform dropdown, select Import
- In the Select Generic Object dropdown, select Job Classification
- Select Browse > select the completed file
- Select Validate
- Select Import
Remove the Job Classification from the Role Using Manage Data
- Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Data
- In the first Search, select Role
- In the second Search, enter a Role Name from the Check Tool
- Select Take Action > Make Correction
- In the Job Codes section, locate the job code from the Check Tool and select the trash can icon
- Select Save
- Repeat steps 3-6 for each Role Name from the Check Tool
Remove the Job Classification from the Role Using Import
- Follow the steps in Implementing and Managing Job Profile Builder - Exporting Your Job Profile Data Using Manage Job Profile Content Import/Export for the Role-Job Codes entity
- In Column B (externalCode), filter for the Role ID from the Check Tool
- In Column A, add DELIMIT
- Repeat steps 2 & 3 for each Role ID from the Check Tool
- Once completed, save the file
- Follow the steps in Implementing and Managing Job Profile Builder - Importing New Job Profile Content Using Manage Job Profile Content Import/Export for the Role-Job Codes entity
