3498363 - Custom form of Balance Sheet and Income Statement is not considered

Symptom

After creating custom form for the form template group Balance Sheet and Income Statement named e.g. "New Balance Sheet", the form is not considered.

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the workcenter Application and User Management.
  2. Open  the view Form Template Maintenance.
  3. Here search for the group of forms Balance Sheet and Income Statement. 
  4. Upload your custom form named e.g. "New Balance Sheet".

Now setup a rule for the new Form variant:

  1. Open  the view Form Template Selection and chose a rule in the section Balance Sheet and Income Statement.
  2. Configure the form rule for template e.g. "New Balance Sheet".
  3. This configuration should pick only the new form "New Balance Sheet" now.

To create the report: 

  1. Go to workcenter General Ledger.
  2. Open  the view Statutory Reports and chose Report Balance Sheet and Income Statement and fill it out as needed.
  3. Preview the report.
  4. Only  the standard report form Balance Sheet and Income Statement is pulled regardless what you configure.

Cause

This is a reuse UI. Only Standard forms with name Balance Sheet and Income Statement will be picked.

Resolution

In case you want to use your own form, overwrite the existing SAP standard form and the changed form as you desire will be picked.

This is the expected system behaviour.
