3498710 - Submit for Approval Button Missing in Sales Quote/Order

You are working with sales quotes/orders and per your approval process definitions it seems a sales quote/order should have option to submit to approval. You wonder the logic behind it.

SAP Cloud for Customer

1. Go to the Sales work center.
2. Open the Sales Quotes/Orders view.
3. Open sales quote/order ABC (where ABC is the ID of a quote/order).

You cannot see the option to submit for approval.

If a sales quote/order created in SAP Sales Cloud goes to an external system, it will never be affected by approval process. Same is valid if sales quote/order is created in external system and then replicated to C4C.

This is the system current standard behavior. You can check the 'Created by' field in header of document if you want to be sure that it was created outside C4C, a technical user means it was created externally.
