While selecting a range within a fixed date page filter, it is not possible to select other dates outside that range in SAC.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.8.20.

1. Login to SAC.
2. Navigate to 'Stories' > Responsive > Optimized Design Experience.
3. Drag an 'Input Control' > Select any model.
4. Choose 'Dimensions' > 'Date' > 'Filter by Range'.
5. Set the type 'Fixed'.
6. Select 'Granularity' as 'Day' > Choose a range > 'Ok'

Notice when you try to select a date outside that range, it is not selectable and is grayed out.

This is behavior by design.

When you set the date as range then it will let you select within that range. It is not possible to select a date outside that range. If you need to select outside the range then set the granularity as 'End'.
