3500077 - Created By Column in Exchange Rate History Displays Technical User ID _XYZ

Symptom

  • The Created By column in the Exchange Rate History displays the User ID as Technical User (_XYZ).
  • _XYZ refers the Technical User ID.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the General Ledger work center.
  2. Select the Edit Exchange Rates sub view in the Common Tasks view.
  3. Choose View Exchange Rate History.
  4. For some line items, the Created By column shows the User ID as 'Technical User (_XYZ)'.

Cause

A Communication Arrangement is being created for the Web Service ManageExchangeRateIn, and it is assigned to the Technical User ID _XYZ.

Resolution

The system creates a technical user whenever a communication arrangement is created. The users starting with underscore are for customer communication purposes (B2B / A2X / OData). This is the expected system behavior.
