3500140 - 'Error while loading classification data' appears when editing a Product in Manage Product Master Data

• When accessing the classification view of an object in Change Material App ( for example material, class type 001 ) , the inconsistent button appears on the lower right corner
• Choosing the inconsistent button in the classification view shows a popup with "load error :  & " and "Value conflict".
• Error 'Error while loading classification data' appears in Manage Product Master Data

1. Access 'Manage Product Master Data' app
2. Input Product and choose 'Go'
3. Navigate to Classification screen
4. Choose  'Edit'
5. Choose  'Errors' button
6. 'Error while loading classification data' appears.

The issue can be caused by incorrect master data maintenance.

The data inconsistency can occur, when a value for a characteristic was deleted , which was already assigned in classification.

For example , a characteristic Colour is maintained with 4 values  ( Blue , Green , Yellow , Indigo )  in the app Manage Characteristics

The characteristic is assigned to a class of type 001 and the class is assigned to a product in the Product Master ( Create Material, Change Material , Manage Product Master Data).

In the Product Master, The object is valuated and saved with the value "Yellow" for the characteristic  Colour .

In Manage Characteristics, the value 'Yellow' is deleted from the characteristic . ( the popup  'Do You Want to Check the Use in Configurations? '  appears when saving . The option "Do not check is selected" is chosen).

When accessing the classification view of the Product again , the inconsistency popup appears with "load error" for the  characteristic and value that was deleted.

To fix the inconsistency, please perform the following tasks: 

1. Access the app Change Material , for example
2. Input material number involved and access the classification view for the class type effected
3. Choose the button "Inconsistent".
4. You will see the load error popup.
5. Please position the cursor on the field under the description 'Change NO.'
6. Choose the 'delete values' icon ( Shift + F2 ) .
7. Choose  'SAVE'.
