3500161 - Behavior of Request for information category under view pending workflows for position workflow - 1H2024

When we go to view pending workflows from home page and click on "Request for information" category, it is redirecting to manage data instead of manage position page for position workflows.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Workflows

Prerequisites:

• Trigger a position workflow for which you are part of cc role and "Redirect CC Users to Workflow Approval Page" is set to No under workflow configuration.
• Ensure to enable the quick action : view pending workflows under Manage Home page.

Steps:

• Go to View Pending Workflows in the Quick Actions section of the home page.
• Click on Requests for Information -> select the related position workflow.
• Result : Page is redirected to manage data instead of manage position.

PS: if you do not have permission to manage data then you will receive an error "You do not have permission to view this page".

This is a currently a limitation.

• The limitation is planned to be enhanced with 2H 2024 release, but it is not confirmed yet. Enhancement ticket number ECT-239752
• Please reach out to you CSM/CEE to follow up on the progress of the enhancement ECT-239752.

Workaround:

User can switch to old pending workflows page(previous version) to navigate to manage position page.
