Symptom

Errors received while Activation of a Patch Solution in Partner Development Tenant:

Reproducing the Issue

1. Login to Cloud Application Studio(SDK)
2. Open the Solution
3. Activate Solution / Business Object
Error

Cause

The tenant role was initially Test(Role Code: 07) which was later on changed to Partner_Development(Role Code: 08). In PDI Test Tenants, there will be Patch and Original Solutions present where as in Partner_Development Tenant it is only the Patch Solution namespace.
Because of the Role Code change, the current solution which is the Original Solution in Test is giving error during Activation as now it expects Patch namespace in Partner_Development Tenant.

Resolution

This is not a supported behavior from PDI side, but we can try out an approach where in Original Namespace would be marked as Patch namespace from backend. What will be done is that the Arbitrary Value will be updated as PATCH and Origin_Projecct_Name will be updated as YABCD123_ in SDI tables. Followed by this, the activation should go through successfully. Hence, please raise an incident adding all the details.

SAP recommendation:
Changing a Test Tenant to Partner_Development is not suggested. It will lead to issues if there are existing solutions in the system.
