3501043 - Expand & Hierarchy Level "Jump" for Charts, using BW Live Connection

Symptom

In the context of SAP Analytics Cloud, hierarchies in charts can be drilled in two different ways:

  • Hierarchy Level selection feature enables expand and drill level selection for BW models.
    • One can decide Parents to be Included, or not
  • Select on Chart > Drill Down / Up
    • Parents are never included

By default, if a node is included in the filter all its descendants are also included in the filter. Using trapezoid filters one can change this behavior by defining a level offset filter. The level offset specifies the relative starting level of descendants to include below the matching nodes.
