Symptom

When activating the Advanced Adapter Engine Extended (AEX) and navigate to http://<host>:<port>/dir/start/index.jsp on the PO system, the following error message is displayed:

com.sap.aii.ib.core.applcomp.ApplicationComponentRuntimeException: Configuration error. Error in property "com.sap.aii.directory.serviceuser.name". Detailed information: The value is null or zero length!
