3501180 - Not able to change or enroll any dependent on the new Benefits Enrollment Experience - Employee Central

Symptom

Dependents are not being shown on the Second section of the enrollment page, as if they didn't exist. So it's not possible to change the enrolled Family Members even though they are already enrolled previously.

Environment

SuccessFactors Employee Central - Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the employee Profile;
  2. Go to the New Enrollment Experience Page;
  3. See that the dependents are correctly displayed on the "Review Family Members Section";
  4. When proceeding to the next section "Select Benefits", you will see that one or more dependents are not being considered as enrolled, and are also not showing on the list if clicking on "Change Enrolled Family Members".

Cause

This is due to missing configuration as not having permissions for the Allowed Dependent Types for Benefit object or not having configured the Allowed types inside the Benefit it self.

Resolution

  1. To check all the permissions necessary for this new feature, please refer to the Role-Based Permissions for Latest Benefits Enrollment section of the Global Benefits Implementation Guide.
  2. To correct the Benefit configuration, go to the Benefit Record via 'Manage Data' or 'Benefit Admin Overview' and see if the section "Allowed Dependent Types" is populated.
    1. If it's not, then add the wanted dependents for this benefit.
    2. If this section is not editable, proceed with the following:
      1. Go to the object “Allowed Dependent Types for Benefit”;
      2. Click in 'Take action' then 'Make Correction';
      3. In the field 'depRelationShipType' click in details;
      4. Change the visibility to Editable;
      5. Save.
      6. Go back to the benefit record and add the dependents.

Note that you will need to add the dependent types allowed for each benefits specifically. For more information on this, please refer to the Configuration of Insurance Related Fields for Latest Benefits Enrollment section of the Global Benefits. Implementation Guide.
