3501263 - Error "Transport the BP ID Category ABCD for BP ID Type ABC" appears when releasing a transport request in the Export Customizing Transports app – SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

The error message "Transport the BP ID Category ABCD for BP ID Type ABC” is displayed when trying to release a transport request in the Export Customizing Transports app.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 

1. Go to Export Customizing Transports app
2. Select the Transport Request
3. Click on Release
4. Check the error logs

Identification categories have to be present in the Target (Test/Production) system before releasing the transports containing the Identification Types belonging to the Identification Categories.

Software Collections carrying the BP Identification Categories have to be imported to get the BP Identification Categories in the Target(Test/Production) system. The release of the Customizing Transport has a validation at the Target (Test/production) system for BP categories.

Follow below steps to check whether the BP ID Category has been transported:

1. Open the Extensibility Inventory app.
2. Search for the item BP ID Category (this item appears in the error log from the Export Customizing Transport app).
3. Open the item and check the Change History tab.
   1. If the Software Collection Version shows "0", it means this item is not assigned to any software collection.

The BP ID Category must be included in a Software Collection and then imported into your Test and Production systems. 

Follow the below steps: 

1. Go to the Export Software Collection app.
2. Click on Add (+).
3. Provide a name and create the collection.
4. Click on Add Item.
5. Add all Business Partner Identification Categories items to the same collection.
6. Click on Export.
7. Once the export is successful, log in to the Test system.
8. Open the Import Collection app in the Test system.
9. Search for the collection exported from the Development (customizing) system.
10. Select it and click on Check and Import.

After importing the Software Collection that contains the identification categories, proceed to release the customizing transport using the Export Customizing Transports app.
