You are using SDA between 2 Hana systems. You have created a virtual table on a remote data source with data type ST_GEOMETRY. When you query data via SDA (include field with data type ST_GEOMETRY ), the following error is reported:
(dberror) [7]: feature not supported: Binary transfer not being used. Specify extended formats for spatial data
