3501993 - How to add roles to the future dated employees

Symptom

Unable to add roles to the worker for the future dated employees.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Cloud Edition

Reproducing the Issue

1. Goto 'Manage Workforce' application
2. Open Employee with future work agreement
3. Add a Role.

Resolution

The respective roles will become active only once the 'Start Date' of the work agreement has reached (eg: a worker is created with future hire date 30.08.2024. and only on 30.08.2024 a job will run in the background to add the financial service BP role FLVN00 to the relevant BP, till then the role cannot be added).
