3502072 - Accruals Not Automatically Generated for Future-Dated Time Profile Changes

Accruals were not generated during a future-dated Time Profile change via Job Information>Edit. Instead, the system only generated Time Accounts.

However, when simulating accruals using the "Time Account Process Simulator," the accruals were successfully simulated with a value.

1. Navigate to User Job Information>Insert New Record
2. Set the Effective Date as 01/Jan/2025
3. Change Time Profile
4. Save the changes
5. Then, check the Time Accounts tab under Administer Time UI. You will see that only Time Accounts are generated, and no accruals have been produced by the system.

• For a future-dated time profile change, the system will generate only the Time Accounts and accruals will be generated on the day of the posting date during the Accrual Calendar run.
  • For example, if a time account is successfully generated in 2024 with an Account Validity from 01/Jan/2025 to 31/Dec/2025, and the user is eligible for accruals starting from 01/Jan/2025, the accrual posting date will be 01/Jan/2025. With an Accrual Offset of zero, the system will generate accruals exclusively on 01/Jan/2025 during the Accrual Calendar job run.
• The system will automatically post accruals only if the accrual posting date is on or before the current date.
• To enable users to apply for leave in the future, starting from 01/Jan/2025, before the accrual posting, set "Simulate Accruals" to Yes under Time Account Type.
• Additionally, to generate accruals before the actual accrual start date, you can use the "Accrual Creation Offset (Days)" setting in the Time Account Type configuration.
