3502128 - Excel export from Data Analyzer is substantially bigger than the same file if re-saved from within Excel

When using the "Export to Excel" feature from within a Data Analyzer insight the size of the exported file is larger than expected for the amount of data being exported.

If the exported file is opened in Microsoft Excel and then saved again the generated file is substantially smaller.

The large size of the export file can also lead to timeout problems within SAP Analytics Cloud when exporting the file.

SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.8 (QRC2), all patch versions.

Testing and analysis of the generated excel file has identified that compression was not correctly enabled when generating the export.

This issue will be resolved in the next 2024 QRC3 quarterly release, currently scheduled for the weekend of August 17-18.

Compression will be enabled on the export, reducing substantially the size of the exported file as well as reducing the export time by approximately 50%
