3502174 - User is unable to Edit Tax code field in Purchase Order

You have created a purchase order and trying to edit the tax code, however the field is disabled. But you are able to edit it in "Quick Create" screen.

SAP Business By Design

1. Go to Purchase Requests and Orders work center
2. Select view Purchase Orders
3. Select View All
4. Navigate to Items tab
5. Add an item
6. Go to Taxes tab-> Tax code
7. Try to edit the tax code field but the field is disabled
8. But you can edit it if you create purchase order from Common Tasks->New Purchase Order: Quick Create  view.

User has customized the tax code field on the purchase order item level.

Under adaptation mode, the field "Tax code" is set as Read Only. Under Adaptation Mode on purchase order item screen-> select "section group"-> select the respective field-> right click-> it is set as "Read Only" mode.

The same standard fields  are not customized on the  purchase order "quick create" screen , hence they are editable there.

Please remove the "Read-Only" flag from the Tax code field in your system.

Then create a new document from scratch and check.
