3502798 - "Enter a number without decimals" is displayed when the Net Weight is entered in the Manage Product Master Data app

• Error: "Enter a number without decimals" is displayed when the Net Weight is entered in the Manage Product Master Data app.
• The Net Weight can contain decimals in a  Product created using the the Product migration object and the Create Material app, but not using the Manage Product Master Data app.

• SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
• Master Data

1. Launch the Manage Product Master Data app.
2. Select Create
3. Enter the values for Product Type, Base Unit, and Description.
4. Select Ok.
5. Select the drop down menu for General Information and choose Base Units of Measure.
6. Select Unit of Measure of 'Net Weight' field , for example LB 
    Input 'Net Weight' value that includes decimal places 
7. Press Enter. 
The error is displayed

The Manage Product Master Data app's behavior depends on the configuration made in the configuration step 102179, "Units of measurement". For example: For unit LB "US pound", the standard customizing for number of decimal places is blank/zero.

Use the Create Material/Change Material app or the Migration Object 'Product' to include decimals in the net weight for the product.
If you want to enter a value with decimal places in Manage Product Master Data, use a Unit of Measure that allows decimal places.
The SAP Supplied UOM records can only be changed through via Expert Configuration.
In the Standard only a maximum of 3 decimal places are allowed for the Net Weight field .
