3503020 - IDoc processing error 'Field BSEG-MEINS. does not exist in dynpro SAPMF05A 0300'

Symptom

IDocs generated from intercompany billing fail during accounting document posting with the error message 'Field BSEG-MEINS. does not exist in dynpro SAPMF05A 030'.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Cause

The issue is caused by the Quantity/Unit of Measure(BSEG-MEINS) fields being suppressed in the 'Field Status Group' of the G/L accounts involved in the posting. If this field is suppressed, the system cannot map the value during posting, resulting in the dynpro error.

Resolution

To resolve this issue:

  1. Identify the reconciliation G/L account used for the supplier used in the posting for the relevant company code.
  2. In the configuration activity 'Assign G/L Accounts'(SSCUI ID- 102463), verify the G/L accounts assigned for the company code and determine the accounts actually used during posting.
  3. In the app 'Manage G/L Account Master Data; (App ID F0763A) check the 'Field Status Group' assigned to the identified reconciliation G/L account and any other G/L accounts involved in the posting.
  4. In the configuration activity 'Define Field Status Variants' (SSCUI ID- 102393), open the assigned 'Field Status Group' and review the Quantity fields under Additional Account Assignments.
  5. Ensure that the Quantity fields are not set to 'Suppress'.
    Set them to “Optional Entry” or assign a Field Status Group that allows quantity/unit of measure.

Note:
In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, standard delivered Field Status Groups cannot be modified. If the standard group suppresses the Quantity field, create a copy of the standard Field Status Group, adjust the field control as required, and assign the new Field Status Group to the relevant G/L accounts.

Once the correct Field Status Group is assigned and Quantity/UoM fields are allowed for all posting relevant line items, the IDoc posting completes successfully and intercompany invoices can be processed without errors.
