Is there an API or CDS view to get the Posting Period information in S/4HANA Cloud ?

1. CDS view I_COMPANYCODEPERIOD is provided to get the current period, previous period and the last period in previous fiscal year.
2. An API and Entity to retrieve Current and Previous Posting Period is not available on the SAP API HUB or the SAP S/4HANA Cloud Help Portal Documentation.
3. Alternatively, it is possible to use the frontend app 'Allow Posting to Previous Period' to get the current and previous period posting information for a Company Code.
