3503357 - Cursor I/O metrics are accumulating incorrectly - SAP ASE

Symptom

The problem reported in KBA2276960 is not able to handle insensitive cursor, and the following error occasionally occurs.

'Set statistics io on' and MDA tables monProcessActivity, monState, monSysStatement for a cursor are reporting hugely inflated numbers.

  • 2276960 - Statistics i/o and plancost outputs are cummulative for cursors - SAP ASE

As a result, a negative value will be set to the counter value.

ex: LeOperator::LeOpProcessIOStats(): process 114 has negative physical reads counters.  les_cur_fetch_physreads = -1, les_cur_fetch_physapfreads = 1
