Symptom
Within the Maintain Project screen, you can view the overall project by products, on the Products tab. You can select the planned materials and request them for the project. There should be a Checkbox called 'From Stock' that allows you to source materials from stock. However, you noticed that the 'From Stock' checkbox is missing when planning for the required materials in the project.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to the Project Management Work Center.
- Navigate to the Projects View.
- Select any project which not closed.
- Click Edit.
- Navigate to Project Plan - Gantt Chart - Materials Subtab, then you notice that there is no column named 'From Stock'.
Cause
You haven't select the Sourcing Materials from Stock business option in your business configuration.
Resolution
To source the materials from stock, the Sourcing Materials from Stock business option must be selected in your solution configuration.
To find the business option Source Materials from Stock,
- Go to the Business Configuration Work Center.
- Choose the Implementation Projects View.
- Select your implementation project.
- Click Edit Project Scope.
- In the Scoping step of the project, ensure that Project Planning and Execution is selected within Project Management.
- In the Questions step, expand the Project Management scoping element and select Project Planning.
- Select Project Stock Consumption.
- Scope the question 'Do you want to use project stock orders to source material from stock, for consumption during a project?'.
- Click Next.
- Click Accept preselected answers.
- Click Finish.
After this, the checkbox would show when planning for the required materials in the project.
