3503433 - Migrated Fixed Asset cannot be found via Product Description in Customer Invoice When logged on in Local Language

• You are logged into the SAP ByDesign system in your local language, for example German.
• When trying to sell a previously migrated fixed asset in a customer invoice you cannot find the associated individual material when search for its description. The individual material can only be found through its Individual Material ID. 
• Now log on in English language: This time the individual material can be found via it's product description.

SAP Business ByDesign

Log into your ByDesign system in local language, for example German. 

1. In the Customer Invoicing work center go to the Common Tasks and select New Manual Invoice.
2. Under Items (either in the overview or in the items tab) enter the individual material's description into the Product ID field. The individual material cannot be found.
3. Now enter the individual material's ID.
4. This time the product can be found. 

Now log into your ByDesign system in English.

1. In the Customer Invoicing work center go to the Common Tasks and select New Manual Invoice.
2. Under Items (either in the overview or in the items tab) enter the individual material's description into the Product ID field. The individual material cannot be found.
3. Now enter the individual material's description.
4. This time the product can be found via its description.

The fixed asset was migrated in local language, here German. However, the migrated, individual material descriptions are always saved in English.

In the customer invoice you can always find the individual material when searching for its ID. 

If you need to find the individual material through its description you can generate the description in local language via a dummy change: 

1. Log on to your ByDesign system in local language. 
2. In the individual material's fixed asset go to the Master Data tab and here to the Individual Material sub-tab.
3. In the Individual Material Description field remove the description, enter it again and press Save. 
4. After this change you can find the individual material in the customer invoice also through its description.
