Symptom

Error message VF009 "Sales organization XXX is not defined" occurs when creating intercompany invoice.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the "Create Billing Documents" app.
  2. Choose the billing type IV and select the delivery.
  3. Error VF009 "Sales organization XXX is not defined" occurs.

Cause

Some intercompany configurations are missing.

Resolution

Follow the set-up instructions and test script of the scope item to do necessary configurations: Intercompany Sales Order Processing - Domestic (1HO) / Intercompany Sales Order Processing - International (‏1MX‏).

For example:

  • It is necessary to fill in the field "Acct Assmt Grp Cust." for the business Partner (customer role) in the "Maintain Business Partner" app.
  • It is necessary to fill in the field "Customer Interc. BL." for the sales organization in the configuration activity "Maintain Sales Organization (ID: 105970)".
