3504210 - Cross-entity rule with Basic scenario is not working during import - Employee Central

Symptom

While making a Compensation Information import, a Basic rule configured in Compensation Information to check the value of one pay component is retrieving null.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure a business rule under HRIS Element "Compensation Information" under Basic scenario, with one condition to check a value from a Pay Component
  2. Go to Import Employee Data and select Compensation Information
  3. Import the file
  4. See that the rule triggered, but condition 'compInfo.payComponentRecurring' is returning value: 'null'

Cause

The rule is not able to check the Pay Component Recurring value during the import if configured on Basic scenario.

Resolution

Configure the rule as a Cross-Entity, with scenario "Trigger Cross-Entity Rules". This rule will be able to check the pay component value during a Compensation Information import.
