3504261 - A new phone number cannot be saved via "Change Phone Number" (Employee Central Quick Action) when no phone number exists

Symptom

When using the Employee Central Quick Action > Change Phone Number, it's not saving when adding a new Phone number when there are no Phone numbers registered yet.

Reproducing the Issue

Prerequisite - Configured Employee Central Quick Action Template, refer to Configuring an Employee Central Quick Action Template | SAP Help Portal

  1. Navigate to home page of the affected user.
  2. Click on Manage Data.
  3. Select on Change Phone Numbers.
  4. Try to add a new phone number and submit.
  5. System does not allow to add new phone number via Quick Actions.

Resolution

  1. This issue will be fixed in 2H 2024 release.
  2. Workaround - New Phone number details can be added from People Profile Page.
