How to end validity of org unit SYSGEN-000000000000X (SYSGEN is standard Org Unit ID)

Environment

SAP Business ByDesign

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
  2. Select the Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
  3. Find and locate the desired org unit ID which starts with "SYSGEN-000000000000X"
  4. Choose Edit
  5. Choose Edit Org Unit
  6. Select End validity.

Not able to end validity of Org Unit "SYSGEN-000000000000X"

Cause

Delete Org Unit

Resolution

Follow below steps to Delete Org Unit ,

  1. Go to the Organizational Management work center.
  2. Select the Edit Org Structures under Common Tasks.
  3. Find and locate the desired org unit ID which starts with "SYSGEN-000000000000X"
  4. Select org unit ID
  5. Choose Edit
  6. Select effective from date.
  7. Choose Edit org unit 
  8. Choose delete
  9. Select Save
  10. Choose Activate 
  11. Select Activate org structure
