3504617 - Error message showing ????? while approving workflow - Employee Central

Error message showing "?????" is occurring while a hire workflow is being approved.

Error occurs when there is a business rule configured to raise an error message in one of the objects involved in the process, for example payment information. 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Make the hire process and submit a workflow in the end of it
2. Try to approve the workflow
3. Error is displayed: "?????"
4. In the internal logs or rule trace, we can see that there is a business rule triggering an error message onSave.
5. If the error of the rule is corrected, approval is successful.

Engineering is investigating this issue.

Patch 2405p19 is being processed to fix this issue and is planned for August 27th.

In the meantime, the rule can be disabled or the error corrected.
