3505204 - Sales document type SOCR is tagged as "Deprecated" since CE2408

Sales document type SOCR is tagged as "Deprecated" since CE2408. The description of SOCR in the configuration activity "Configure Sales Document Types (ID: 102495)" is "Sol CMR(Deprecated)". Before CE2408, the description of SOCR was "Credit MemReq Solut.".

This is not a regression issue but an intended change.

As per What's New in SAP S/4HANA Cloud 2408 - Changeable Sales Orders for Solution Orders, sales orders generated from the solution order can now be changed by activating type OR. In that sense, SOCR is set as deprecated as CR will be used for the CMR process (for sales order) anyway. In other words, the purpose of marking SOCR as deprecated, is to avoid user confusion when seeing two credit memo request types with the same functionality.

Besides, although SOCR is marked as deprecated in release CE2408, it is still working as it was before. Final tests for CR as a full replacement (on all scenarios, e.g., sales order, service order, service contract generated from solution order) are still ongoing internally.

Currently before further notification from SAP, it is recommended to continue using SOCR for various scenarios, especially for scenarios outside of the sales order.
