3505277 - Cipher disablement for Outbound Communication from Cloud Integration [Q1, 2025]

Symptom

In accordance with the Java Cryptographic Roadmap, the TLS ECDH Cipher Suites will be disabled for outbound TLS communication in Cloud Integration (former CPI).

Key Points:

  • ECDH Cipher Suites are deprecated as per RFC 9325, as they are subject to attacks.
  • This change potentially impacts Outbound TLS 1.2 communication scenarios, i.e., Cloud Integration to external clients, for below adapters.
  • There will be no impact to other communication scenarios:
    • Outbound On-Premise (through Cloud Connector) scenarios. i.e., Cloud Integration → Cloud Connector → On-Premise systems.
    • Inbound communications. i.e., sender system →  Cloud Integration.

Implementation Date:

The change will take effect in

  • March 2025 for Neo Environment
  • April 2025 for Cloud Foundry Environment
