3505563 - Right of Use Asset Depreciation Run Message: For the selected fixed assets, posting not required in set of books

• A depreciation run, executed for a Right Of Use Asset (RoU Asset) finished with info message: 'For the selected fixed assets, posting not required in set of books ABC' (ABC represents the Set of Books ID).
• When checking the ROU asset's depreciation overview there are no depreciation values displayed.
• However, the Lease Contract Valuation Cash Flow report correctly calculates depreciation values for each period of the lease contract's life time. 
• You cannot trigger a recalculation adjustment for the ROU asset as the option is greyed out. 

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Fixed Assets work center.
2. Go to the Depreciation view.
3. Find and open the respective run ID. executed for ROU asset XYZ (XYZ represents the ROU asset's ID). 
4. Go to the Messages tab. 
5. Notice the information message 'For the selected fixed assets, posting not required in set of books ABC'

You check the associated lease contract's cash flow to verify the depreciation calculation: 

1. In the Lease Contract Management work center go to the Lease Contract view. 
2. Find lease contract DEF (DEF represents the lease contract ID) and select it.
3. Press Reports and choose Cash Flows. 
4. In the report check the Depreciation Company Currency column. 
5. Here, the expected depreciation values appear for each period of the lease contract's/ ROU asset's life time. 

However, in the ROU asset master data, the depreciation values are not displayed: 

1. In the Fixed Assets work center go to the Fixed Assets view. 
2. Find ROU XYZ (or access the ROU from the lease contract's lease Objects tab)
3. Press Edit and choose Values. 
4. In the Depreciation Overview tab there are no depreciation values displayed. The 'No records found message' appears. 

You try to trigger a recalculation for the ROU asset:

1. In the Fixed Assets work center go to the Fixed Assets view. 
2. Find ROU XYZ (or access the ROU from the lease contract's lease Objects tab)
3. Press Edit and choose Values. 
4. Under Valuation Values per Set of Books press Values: Here. the Recalculate Adjustment option is greyed out. 

An inconsistency exists for the ROU asset that prevented the lease management accounting application to store the depreciation values into the ROU asset. 

For ROU assets the Recalculate Adjustment option is not available in the user interface. 

Send a case to Support to request a recalculation adjustment from the backend.
