3505950 - Code cannot be deleted from static codelist in the SDK.

Symptom

The delete option on a static codelist in the SDK is disabled.

Environment

  • SAP Cloud for Customer
  • SAP Business ByDesign
  • SAP Cloud Application Studio

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open a static codelist in the SDK - file should end with .codelist eg Country.codelist.
  2. Select a code in the list.
  3. Delete Option is disabled - only Delete All is enabled.

Cause

In maintenance mode only the the deletion of all codelists in a static codelist is permitted.

The deletion individual codes of a static codelist in the SDK is only permitted on the initial creation of the codelist. Once the solution is assembled, that codelist would be under maintenance mode where the option to delete individual codes is disabled and not permitted.

Resolution

Ensure codes are accurate on codelist creation. Alternatively and if feasible, delete all and re-add.
