3506004 - Trial Balance Closing/Opening Year-end Postings

The following point is made in the Trial Balance Documentation but the extent is not clear:

'Please note that the Cloud version of this app does not support including closing/opening year-end postings.'

Extent of point not clear.

Closing/opening year-end postings are a country specific requirement that is used in a handful of countries like Italy, Turkey, Romania, Columbia.

The requirement is to have an accounting document that sets all account balances to zero and to post it to a specific G/L account. If these postings were included, all balances would be zero at year end and the real balances could not be reported.

The purpose of these closing/opening year-end postings is to have a document for auditing that reflects/persists the balances.

Apps that are able to include such postings for statutory reporting/auditing purposes include 'Display G/L Account Balances' (App ID F0707A) and 'Balance Sheet/Income Statement - Multidimensional' (App ID W0161). However 'Trial Balance' (App ID F0996) does currently not support this.
