3506007 - Custom ABAP transform name starting with numbers causes the error "Syntax error"

Symptom

You are building your data flow, using the Custom ABAP and you named your transform with numbers, like 321.

While pressing the star icon, you will observe the error like sample below:

  • Agent Message:
    (14.3) 08-12-24 13:08:07 (E) (14068:5168) PAR-010102: Initialization
                                                          Syntax error at line <57>: <INPUT(321)>: near <321> found <an integer> expecting <&UNSPECIFIED_NAME, identifier, a quoted
                                                          identifier>.
                                                          Syntax error at line <63>: <CALL TRANSFORM 321::'24Fv-pF-i7K1UJhhWGCv0o'()>: near <321> found <an integer> expecting
    <identifier, a quoted identifier>.
                                                          C:\ProgramData\SAP\DataServicesAgent\log\DwWPMc3pg3W0eokpZYSN2d20240812_1386667_796.atl - 2 error(s), 0 warning(s).
                                                          Check and fix the syntax and retry the operation.
