3506105 - Error: "Event reason 1 not permitted for event type Resignation and Country" While Terminating an Employee

Symptom

When you are attempting to terminate an employee using the custom PDI code, you encounter the error "Event reason 1 not permitted for event type Resignation and country".

Reproducing the Issue

Go to Workday Integration workcenter
Go to Employee Master Process Run view
Go to the log information of the Employee Master ID: ABC

Observe the error "Event reason 1 not permitted for event type Resignation and Country."

Cause

Termination values are maintained in PDI but have been deleted in the Business Configuration activity - Termination Reason.

This leads to an error when trying to use these deleted termination reasons for employee termination.

Resolution

This is the standard system behavior. To avoid errors, ensure that the termination reasons are maintained and not deleted in the Business Configuration activity - Termination Reasons.
