3506251 - Error message: An object used as destination object must have effective dating property as From Parent.

Symptom

In Configure Object Definitions, a message appears upon saving the object after trying to add an association in the object:

"Object definition xxxxxxx has a composite association xxxxxxxxx with destination object xxxxxxx. An object used as destination object must have effective dating property as From Parent."
