3506809 - "Unable to load objects to import" error when selecting Entity with Data Access: Replication Flow to Local Tables in Semantics Onboarding - SAP Datasphere

Symptom

When selecting Entity with Data Access: "Replication Flow to Local Tables" in Semantics Onboarding, the following error is raised:

Unable to load objects to import.

This error is NOT occurring in case Data Access: "Remote tables" is selected.

Reproducing the Issue

In Semantics Onboarding:

  1. Select Connection and click next step
  2. Select Entity and click next step
  3. Error appears

Cause

The prerequisites to use a new deployment option "Replication Flow to Local Table" is missing.

The following import options are available in the Import Entities wizard:

  • Import Entities as "Local Tables with Replication Flows" (using infrastructure provided via SAP Note 3463326, available if configured)
  • Import Entities as "Remote Tables" (using infrastructure provided via SAP Note 3081998)

Resolution

  1. Check SAP Note 3463326 if the Prerequisites to use new deployment option "Replication Flow to Local Table" have been fulfilled
  2. Refer to the solution section of SAP Note 3463326 and check if all required settings are correctly done
