3507561 - Absence Has Been Cancelled/Declined But The Time Account Detail Was Not Removed

Symptom

Declined leave is not reinstated for the employees.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Reproducing the Issue

  1. User applied leave in absence time portlet
  2. Leave got approved
  3. User raised cancellation and it got approved as well
  4. Leave balance did not credit back to time account
  5. User has applied for another leave type on the same date, and the system has double-deducted.

Cause

The issue occurred due to Absence reallocation feature turned on.

Manage Data -> Time Management Configuration -> 'Absence Reallocation Enabled' is set to 'Yes'. 

Resolution

There is a check tool CanceledEmployeeTimesWithTimeAccountDetails which identifies these erroneous entries where absence has been cancelled or declined but the time account detail was not removed.

Please delete the incorrect Time Account Details. You can export the check result and use the Import and Export Data feature in the Admin Centre. To delete the Time Account Details (Selected Generic Object = “Time Account - Time Account Detail”), enter “DELETE” in column “OPERATOR”.
