Symptom

  • "Import to model ended unexpectedly. Error code: 5009" error while importing an excel file to SAP Analytics Cloud

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud 2024.8.20

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Logon SAC.
  2. Access a model.
  3. Go to the Data Management page.
  4. Check the Import Jobs list
  5. There is an error in the last Run Import step for each import jobs which are imported from a local excel.

Cause

The error is related the numeric overflow in the one field.

Resolution

This issue is resolved by changing the type of the measure from "Integer" to "Decimal".
